do you have lots of dvds but dont know how to get the footage on to your computer?

im going to show you 2 ways of doing this.

    Way 1 Using DVD Shrink
    _____________________

you can download DVD Shrink here http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_rippers/dvd_shrink.cfm

DVD Shrink is a freeware program that allows you to copy any DVD and backup to your computer. you can choose what footage you want to backup or you can backup the entire DVD.

Create a Folder on your desktop to save your footage. Once you have installed DVD Shrink open it up and insert DVD into your PC.
    1. Open the Disc in DVD Shrink, if your computer reads the Disc you should see the name of it when you click open disc.
    2. Once the DVD had been analyzed by DVD Shrink you should see the files show up, now click Re-author.
    3. Under main movie drag title 1 to the left

once you drag the files to the left right click it and click "Set Start/End Frames". you should get another box pop up where you can choose what you want to be saved to your pc.

    4. Start Frame, choose the beginning of the footage you want saved to your computer.
    5. End Frame, choose where you want the match to end.

next click okay and choose where you want the footage to be saved. save it in the folder you created earlier and once it finishes import it to vegas by clicking File>Import Media Files.

Way 2 using no program at all.

as in the previous tutorial create a folder on your desktop and insert DVD into your computer.

    1. Click the start button on your computer and click My Computer.
    2. look for your disc and right click it and click open.
    3. you should see a folder that says Video_TS open it up along with the folder you created.
    4. highlight all the files that say DVD Movie and are large in size.
    5. In the other folder right click anywhere and click paste. the footage should start to copy to your folder.

Once it finishes do the same as the other tutorial and import to Vegas.
